Independent Television Network Ltd. (ITN), a leading media network in Sri Lanka, invites applications from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for several vacancies in its Programme and News & Current Affairs Divisions. The organisation operates ITN, Vasantham TV, Lakhanda, Vasantham FM, ITN Digital and ITN MAX.

Educational Qualifications and Experience
Executive positions: The Manager (Programme Services) requires a recognised Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in a relevant field, plus at least 12 years of managerial-level experience in television programme production. Assistant Manager positions generally require a relevant recognised degree and at least one year of post-qualification experience in the relevant field. Internal applicants may qualify under the specified service conditions.
Senior technical and production positions: Relevant degrees or NVQ qualifications may be accepted depending on the post. Certain positions require NVQ Level 7, while Level 5 or Level 6 qualifications may be accepted with the prescribed experience. Video editing, graphic animation and set design applicants may be required to pass practical or trade tests.
Programme and presentation positions: Programme Controller and Presentation Officer applicants require an NVQ Level 5 certificate in an accepted relevant field. Library Assistant and Production Officer Technical applicants require an NVQ Level 5 certificate in the relevant field.
Assistant Producer positions: Applicants must have passed six G.C.E. O/L subjects in one sitting, including four credit passes covering Sinhala/Tamil, English and Mathematics, and three G.C.E. A/L subjects excluding the General Paper. The relevant channel’s main language is also required.
Set Assistant: Applicants require at least NVQ Level 2 proficiency in the relevant field. Internal applicants may qualify under the stated service and trade-test conditions.

The upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates where specified. Salary figures are the scales stated in the notice; remuneration for recruitment and promotion is subject to Schedule II of Management Services Circular No. 01/2025 until 1 January 2027. Independent Television Network Ltd. (ITN) is a premier media network in Sri Lanka, which operates two TV channels (ITN and Vasantham TV) and two radio channels (Lakhanda and Vasantham FM) serving Sinhala- and Tamil-speaking communities, along with the channel ITN Digital for social media activities.
